🎉 New album released: Hero’s Victory — a 20-year journey in music

Hi Reader,

🎧 Hero’s Victory: A Documentary Album is officially released!

Today, I’m really excited and proud to share the release of this album.

This album isn’t just a collection of tracks — it’s a document of a creative journey spanning more than 20 years. The music unfolds in the order it was created: Gladiator, Hero’s Journey, and Hero’s Victory.

Gladiator was written in the summer of 2001 on a Roland XP-80 synthesizer. I had no idea then that the final four and a half minutes of that piece would later become the seed for Hero’s Journey, or that those same themes would eventually be reshaped into Hero’s Victory, recorded with a live orchestra in 2025.

What makes this album different is that the music and the story are interwoven. Alongside the pieces themselves are commentary tracks that offer a window into the process and how the music evolved.

In a time when music can be created almost instantly with the help of AI, this project celebrates something slower: collaboration, learning by doing, and letting time shape the work.

It’s an offering that honors not just the finished result, but the human process that made it possible.

🏆 Award-Winning Music Video

Alongside the album, I created a music video for Hero’s Victory that combines the musicians’ performances with the mastered audio recording, offering a powerful way to experience the piece.

I’m proud to share that this video has already been recognized by multiple festivals, including:

  • 2nd Place — Global Awards Music Festival
  • Finalist — Replay International Film Festival
  • Finalist — California Music Video & Film Awards

🎄 A Christmas Moment — and a Look at What’s Coming Next View on the web → Hi Reader, On Christmas Eve as Deanna and I were getting into bed, I felt a wave of nostalgia. This year I wasn't with my family, and I found myself missing a simple tradition — my uncle playing guitar while we all sing Christmas carols together around the tree. On a whim, I suggested we pull up a Christmas carol karaoke video and sing one before bed. We did… and then another. Something in the room softened. The festive...
